Access Awareness Day – Stronger Together

The Sunset Community Social Enterprises is excited to host our 2nd Annual Access Awareness Event: Stronger Together on June 4th from 1:00–3:00 PM at Sunset Industries.

This free, community-wide event is all about celebrating inclusion, raising awareness, and bringing people together in a fun and meaningful way. Attendees can enjoy a variety of activities including a live DJ with karaoke, games, face painting, a community BBQ, and a special flag raising and cake cutting ceremony. A highlight of the day will be a poem shared by a Self Advocate and member of People First Cumberland, helping to amplify lived experience and the importance of accessibility in our communities.

The event will also feature community partners and organizations sharing information on topics such as assistive and adaptive technology, supported employment, and inclusive recreation. It’s a great opportunity to connect, learn, and explore ways we can all contribute to more inclusive communities, especially in rural areas.

Open to everyone, this indoor and outdoor event welcomes individuals, families, schools, and community organizations to come together and celebrate what it means to be Stronger Together.
