White Cane and Guide Dog Awareness Walk and Live Described Tour

In honour of Access Awareness Week Nova Scotia, CNIB Nova Scotia will be holding a white cane and guide dog awareness walk. The group will meet on the Northwest corner of Spring Garden Road and South Park Street (outside the Public Gardens main entrance gate). All are welcome including those who use white canes, guide dogs, or neither. We’ll walk as a group down Spring Garden Road to Queen Street and then come back up Spring Garden Road to South Park Street. Walkers can then do a loop around the Public Gardens at their own pace. At 1:30 p.m. we will enjoy a guided live described tour of the Public Gardens, exploring the highlights of North America’s only surviving Victorian Garden. Sighted guides will be available or feel free to bring your own! You are welcome to join for just the walk, just the tour, or both!
